First Thursday June 5th @ 8pm ET

OPEN CHAT in The Beatle Brunch Club this Thursday night and it's FREE to all guests, June 5th at 8 PM Eastern Time. This is the time when a great community of Beatle Brunch fans gather to get acquainted, share a few stories, concert experiences, and exchange ideas - it's a cool place for companionship or just to vent. EVERYONE'S INVITED.

First Thursdays has always been the spot for special guests, and sometimes you'll never know who will pop in to spend a little quality time. Perhaps Tim Piper may drop by.  Lately, he's has been joining Joe in the studio to share his perspective on The Brunch, and you may have a question or two for the guys.

Things He Said Today

By Joe Johnson

If timing is everything, then Paul releasing his new single "Appreciate" set off a worldwide alarm. It reminded us fans to take a moment and reflect on how much we treasure his health and well being, and that we're glad he's still around to sing, play and write new music.

The past few weeks, Beatle Fans have been on edge, as reports of Paul's virus in Japan had everyone worried sick. The lack of timely information only added to the frenzy, with a fake photo circulating of "Paul" on a stretcher being admitted to a Japanese hospital. Ah, you gotta love the internet.

Thankfully, an official statement was released on Paul's website, May 22nd, stating that Paul will make a full recovery and resume his tour. Additional reports show Paul back home in London with plans to continue the U.S. leg of his "Out There" tour on July 14th, to play the birthplace of Buddy Holly, Lubbock, Texas. Of course we're all sending out "Words of Love".  Listen for a special "Paul Birthday Brunch" the weekend of June 21st.

Oh, and THIS week it's our birthday too, yeah!  The first Beatle Brunch aired May 31, 1992. This week we've kicked off our 23rd year with our annual celebration of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band and a visit from Tim Piper.  Hear it ON DEMAND with deluxe tracks that were not broadcast. The latest news on Paul's condition is that he flu home (get it?), to London with his wife (everyone knows her as Nancy) and was doing a bit of shopping in the rain. Watch out Paul, you might catch something.

Special Thanks to Steve Marinucci and Jorie Gracen

Pick a Peck of Pipers

Musician Tim Piper has been getting rave reviews from fans all over The Brunch listening area for his contributions to the show.  Tim serves up a "Piping Hot Dish" on The Brunch offering his take on the weekly feature. He's given us insight into The Beatles writings in India, strummed a loving tribute to Linda and showed us how The Boys honored their mothers in song on our special "Mother's Day Brunch".
