BBC Chat With Joe TONITE
Thursday 7 PM EST

Here's Joe with our friend of The Beatles, Paul Saltzman. This is one of very few times you'll see Joe without the microphone and probably for good reason. Phil wants all Brunchers to know about his magical, The Beatles In India Tour scheduled for February 2013. He will lead a small intimate group back to Rishikesh to honor George's 70th birthday.

E-mail or check out this link for more info.
Tell Paul Joe J. sent you, but Today, Thursday at 7PM Eastern Standard Time, it's all about The Beatles, BBC'ers and Joe. Drop by The Beatle Brunch Club Chat Room. Free admission if you're a Club member and if you want please try out The Club for only $5 a month. You'll have more fun in a month than you'll get from a couple bags of Tootsie Rolls and your dentist will love you for it (or maybe not). Join Today!

Things He Said Today
By Joe Johnson
Well, we just wrapped up the longest February in four years, and it’s a good thing, because Paul needed every single day to fit in all the honors, achievements, and stars he was awarded during the month.

Paul finally got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the anniversary of the day The Beatles played The Ed Sullivan Show, February 9th. A few hours later, he performed four songs from his critically acclaimed “Kisses on the Bottom” CD, live from The Capitol Studio, just a few hundred steps away from his star. (BTW you can hear the live tracks in the Downloads section of The Beatle Brunch Club). But perhaps the most incredible day for Macca fans, was a star-studded rocker that closed the Grammy Awards telecast on Sunday night February 12th when Paul and his band were joined by 'The Boss' Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, and Joe Walsh, who all traded licks on The Beatles Golden Slumbers Medley (also hear this track in the downloads section). Oh, and in case you thought we forgot, Paul was also named The MusicCares Person of the year last month.

OK, what a February for Paul, but let’s not forget Ringo, who’s back for a summer tour with his new All Starr Band, kicking off as usual, from Fallsview Casino at Niagra Falls on June 14th and wrapping up at The Greek in Los Angeles, with more dates to be added in between. Also, check out Ring’s new CD, “Ringo Starr 2012”, which includes a remake of a song from his “Ringo the 4th” album back in the 70’s and his Buddy Holly tribute track, “Think it Over”. Read more about Ringo’s new CD and tour in the news section at
Now February’s even more of a Fab month in Beatle fans’ memories, but we’re MARCHing on to even more memories on The Brunch, so keep listening and why not Join The Beatle Brunch Club - you’ll never miss a beat, or a Beatle. See you in The BBC Chat Room!

The Daydream Believer
By Frank Branchini
Heartbreaking news; I was fortunate to see Davy perform with The Monkees in 1996 and 2011; he presented to a small group at The Learning Annex in Washington, 8/6/96 and solo shows. I loved his larger than life personality, his humor and warmth. He was a wonderful entertainer. He will be missed. Davy and his family is in the light of my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks for the report, Frank. Davy was a friend of Beatle Brunch, a near neighbor to us in the South Florida area and Joe's interviewed him on many occasions. If you're a BBC member go to the Downloads Page to hear Paperback Believer.

Liverpool's 50th Celebration
On August 18, 1962 Ringo Starr made his first appearance as the Beatles official drummer at Hulme Hall in the village of Port Sunlight, Wirral. The four members of the band had a two hour rehearsal before taking to the stage as the headline act in the local Horticultural Society’s 17th annual dance. On that night the Fab Four were born ... the rest is history.

And The Winner Is
Dr. Dave Spiceland, mild-mannered professor from Appalachian State University, Boone North Carolina and his wife, Jeannie, were overwhelmed as winners of The Cruise For Beatles Fans. All it took was a Beatle Brunch Club membership with a little luck and full speed ahead. It was The Spiceland's first cruise, a FABulous one to be exact, a cruise they will never forget. Here's a message from Dave:

Jeannie and I both had a blast last week during the Cruise and want to thank Beatle Brunch for pulling my name out of a hat all for a magnificent time! I had several techie kind of questions I wanted to ask about how the show is produced, the writing and all of those behind the scenes questions only a College Prof would ask. Maybe I can sometime. Best wishes to Beatle Brunch and all of you who made this Cruise possible.

Thanks for being a BBC member Dave. We expect most college professors Love The Beatles and, at least, are able to inform our children home-spun values rooted in a Fab Four favorite; We all live in a Yellow Submarine; where all people can run their own lives, have freedom and equality to live together in peace.

The Cruise For Beatles Fans

You've been hearing about it, you may have already read the article and seen the pictures on, but if you run into anyone who attended this cruise you'll never stop hearing about the grand performances of L J, Mark Hudson, Tony Bramwell, Tim Piper & Revolution and Joe J. who were totally relaxed and eager to play, unencumbered by everyday lifetime obstacles because there were none on board The Oasis Of The Seas. It will be an event all participants will fondly remember forever and simply smooth sailing, so we're gonna do it again, but please don't miss the boat next year. Supernatural Sir George
Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world,
he walks into --- an interview with Joe J.

Now here's an unassuming fellow; actor, comedian from Oasis of the Seas, Simeon Kirkiles. Not only is he a funny guy who does a 'stand-up' job as a cruise ship entertainer, he's a Beatles fan and was very happy to acknowledge our special Cruise For Beatles Fans group. He can channel George Martin and we're not talkin' Telly. LISTEN.
