CRUISE YOUR MIND & REMEMBER
The
Beatle Brunch Cruise '04 Was Awesome!
An entire week on the high seas, high on Beatles
music and great friends! We remember our last, all-inclusive luxury
Beatle Brunch Cruise to the Western Caribbean for 7 rockin
days, and what a time we had!
The Beatle tribute band, Revolution,
played four concerts on board for our Beatlemaniac group! Tim Piper,
Jim Neil, Greg Piper and Carmine Grippo gave us searing renditions
of The Beatles, all the way from the Cavern days, right through
Beatlemania, to the Sgt. Pepper period and up on the roof for Get
Back. Ahhhh the memories of listening to The Beatles music,
watching sunsets, and pulling into exotic ports of call. Nothing
is real or so it seemed.
During
the cruise Joe hosted several fun-fact-filled hours of videos and
prizes watching The Beatles first appearance on the Ed Sullivan
show, complete with the old corny commercials and giving away tons
of Beatle Brunch prizes to our great group of fans. The boys from
Revolution joined Joe on stage for The Evolution of The Beatles
show and our Beatly-talented artist, Rob Korhonen, demonstrated
his sketches.
Our grand prize Beatle Brunch winner was Susan Krankowski
from Sarasota, Florida, who listens to Beatle Brunch every Sunday
on Oldies 108. Susan partied all week with her friend Tracy and
made friends for life! Also, we remember Sandi from Coral Springs,
who won the cruise from South Florida radio station, Majic 102.7.
Of
course we had all the fun and luxury youd expect on a top
of the line cruise. Needless to say, the entire ship was rocking
(sometimes literally) with Beatles, Beatles, Beatles,
said Judy from New York City. We also met a great gang of fans,
including Susan and Bob from Westin, Florida; Johnny B. and his
wife Renee from Asheville, NC; Rick from Ft. Lauderdale; Jill from
Rochester; Scott and Alicia from San Francisco; Bob from Ft. Lauderdale,
and many others who traveled with us from as far away as South Hampton,
England to sing with the boys on Yellow Submarine!
