Dont
Blame it on the Butcher, but Listen!
The cover photo, taken by photo artist Robert
Whitaker, so shocked record store owners and reviewers, that
it was immediately recalled by Capitol Records, who chose to paste
a rather tame slick over the offending cover. Little did they know
that they were only increasing the value of the ones that got away.
Today, Butcher Cover albums in sealed condition can for as much
as $50,000, even the pasted-over ones command big bucks.
Well hear from Butcher experts Bruce
Spizer, Jason Anjourian and Gary
Hein on the albums notoriety, plus historical interviews
from John Lennon in 1974 and more
recently, Ringo Starrs comments
on the album to Joe Johnson last year when he was kicking off his
All Starr Band tour.
Dont forget to click on the After
Brunch that weekend to see some of Gary Heins
pristine Butcher Cover albums that he has in his collection and
for sale. Gary is an expert on the album and has professionally
peeled more than 100 Butcher Covers. Dont ruin history by
trying to peel yours yourself, call Gary at 732-219-1988 or visit
him online at www.Beatles4Me.com.

Beatle Brunch Celebrates Year 18
This weekend were featuring Sgt Peppers Lonely
Hearts Club Band, the album we spotlighted on our first broadcast
back in 1992.
The idea for Beatle Brunch was born when Joe was driving his then
new 1992 Mitzubishi Eclipse, the first car he ever owned with an
in-dash CD player. He was on a long ride to see the family in Miami
and popped his Beatles CDs into the player. He was so amazed at
the quality and clarity (wait until 09/09/09 when the remasters
come out!) that he immediately dreamed up the idea of producing
a weekly radio show featuring the Fab Four. His Program Director
at the radio station in South Florida was hot for it, and so began
Joe Johnsons Beatle Brunch, born May 31, 1992.
The show opened in 5 radio markets: Miami, Baltimore, Laconia,
Indianapolis and Washington DC. Since that time, Beatle Brunch has
branched out to nearly 120 radio stations in the U.S., Canada and
The Virgin Islands via Westwood One and can also be heard in streaming
audio via www.BrunchRadio.com/Stations.
Joe would like to personally thank all of the Beatle fans who have
made the show such a lasting success, as well as the many sponsors
and supporters over the years, including Mark
Lapidos at www.TheFest.com,
Tom Fontaine from www.RockandRollInvestments.com,
Russ Lease at www.BeatleSuits.com, Gary Hein at www.Beatles4Me.com,
Anthony Parisi from www.ParisiStudios.com,
Bruce Spizer at www.Beatle.net,
Don E. Gee and Bob River at www.AmeriMediaUSA.com,
Rob and Deb Korhonen from www.ArtandSoulGraphics.com,
plus our pals Mr. Beatle, Tom Frangione, Ed Rudy, The Fab Faux,
Revolution, Bootleg Beatles, Yesterday, The Fab Four, 1964, Rain,
Silver Seas Cruises, Tony Bramwell, May Pang, Nancy Lee Andrews,
Laurence Juber, Pete Best, Louise Harrison, Larry Kane, Joe Blumenstein,
Westwood One and all the rest! We
hope you have enjoyed the show.
Join in with your support of the Beatle Brunch Club
it is
greatly appreciated. We cannot do it without you and keep up with
us on our Facebook page. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Beatle Suits
Back in the day Brian Epstein would have hired Russ Lease
to personally design and tailor The Beatles clothing.
Today Russ supplies top-notch Beatles tribute bands all over
the world with appropriate custom, hand-made togs just like
the originals. Check out his website at
and see the entire collection of fine suits and jackets plus
other goodies. Coming this September Joe will feature a tribute
to The Abbey Road album cut 40 years ago and Russ will give
away a beautiful Abbey Road jacket to a lucky winner of The
Fab Brunch Radio contest, Mind Games. Youll have the
entire month to play and become eligible so mark your calendar
starting September 6th and listen to Joe Johnsons Beatle
Brunch every week. One winner will be selected at random from
the pool of weekly winners during the month of September.

BeatleSuits.com is proud
to announce the upcoming addition of two new garments to their
Beatle clothing line
the Budukan
a double-breasted black suit with emerald green lapels and
buttons worn by The Beatles from 1966
the finishing
touch to the suit collection from the touring years.

And at long last, John
Lennons "Rubber Soul" jacket. This is the
brown suede jacket worn most notably by John on the cover
photograph of the Rubber Soul album
his favorite jacket
evidenced by the many images of him wearing it during press
conferences, tours, and recording sessions during 1965 and
1966.
