The Next 10 Members Who Sign Up

BBC Member Sign Ups will receive Dave Schwensen's personally autographed book, The Beatles In Cleveland.

As John Lennon once said, "You had to be there." Well, Dave Schwensen has created the nearest thing to actually witnessing the Cleveland concerts and it's a worthwhile contribution to the growing canon of works about the greatest rock group of them all.

Captures the excitement, hysteria and even the terror of being in the middle of an amped-up mob whose only goal was to get a piece of the Fab Four. Not bogged down with minutia, this entertaining book takes you on a journey that encapsulates the live Beatles experience from all perspectives. A must read for old and new fans alike.

Dave Schwensen did the impossible. Through his writing he took my mind from the California coastline to Cleveland and made me enjoy it. I was mainly skeptical that he could write a whole book about a single happening - the two Beatle concerts in said city and hold my interest. Not only did he accomplish both impossibilities, he totally drew me into the whole experience and gave me new insight into something I thought I knew something about. Sign up Now!

2009 marks the 45th anniversary of The Beatles coming to America. And what a better way to celebrate than with a top-notch, luxury cruise by Silversea with Joe Johnson for a Beatle Brunch voyage August 26, 2009 to September 5th on board The Silver Cloud.

We hope to see our fans take advantage of an extraordinary, all inclusive cruise from London and traveling throughout the British Isles for 10 days. The intimate and elegant ship, Silver Cloud has limited availability accommodating only 296 guests. The up-scale, European service is exceptional. The suites are spacious … all with ocean views and most with private verandas. There are 3 gourmet open seating restaurants with some of the finest chefs known to mankind. Complimentary fine wines, champagne and spirits abound. Each guest will receive $500.00 ($1,000.00 per suite) on-board credits to spend in the shoppes, shore excursions or in the spa. Must we mention the excellent on-board entertainment? All transportation and transfers are included … why, the airfare from select Eastern US cities is included (see the list of 25 FREE East Zone Cities + others with small fees) ... as if that weren’t enough, the fare includes all on-board gratuities! Visit www.silversea.com for more information.

Silversea Cruises is recognized as an innovator in the luxury segment, offering guests large-ship amenities aboard its intimate, all-suite vessels: Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper -- and launching in December 2009, Silver Spirit -- all designed to offer an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance. With the addition of the regal expedition ship Prince Albert II, the company's itineraries encompass all seven continents.
In the U.S., Silversea has been voted "World's Best" by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler (nine times) and Travel + Leisure (seven times), and rated Number-One luxury cruise line by high-net-worth consumers in the 2008 Luxury Brand Status Index (LBSI). International awards include "World's Leading Luxury Cruise Line" from World Travel Awards (2007) ; "Five Star Diamond Award" from the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (2009); "Number One" small-ship line in the Readers' Choice" survey conducted by Britain's Condé Nast Traveller magazine (2007); "Best Luxury Cruise Line" by Spain's Cruceros & Destinos magazine (2008); "Best Luxury Cruise Line" by Australia's Luxury Travel & Style Magazine (2009); and "Best Luxury Cruise Operator" according to Asia's Travel Weekly (2008).

Paul McCartney Rocks “THE JOINT”

By Bruce Spizer

Macca’s latest strategy of playing a series of one-shot shows as opposed to a prolonged tour may disappoint many fans, but those fortunate enough to catch him live are rewarded with fresh and sometimes better performances.

This doesn’t diminish Paul’s energy level, musicianship or voice on recent tours, but let’s face it, any performer will sing better when not worn out by the rigors of the road. "The Joint" is part of the $800million expansion at Hard Rock. Paul ’s April 19, 2009 concert at The Joint in Las Vegas exemplified the thrill of seeing McCartney at his best. His two hour twenty-four minute concert was full of high energy performances of the songs fans expect him to play, plus a few surprises. The show was held two nights after his triumphant appearance at the Coachella music festival in California and had nearly the same set list.

Yes, I'm Gonna Be A Star!
The Hollywood Walk of Fame just got more famous as now two of Rock’s Legends are once again just steps from each other.

On Tuesday, April 14, George Harrison received his star on the Walk of Fame, at 1750 N. Vine Street, right in front of the Capitol Records tower and just a few steps from his old friend John Lennon’s star. The 2,382nd star on the most famous sidewalk in the world is a tribute to the caring person and outstanding musician and composer we all love so much: George Harrison.
